Left St-Jean-de-Losne in the morning in the pouring rain, kitted in our multi-coloured rain jackets. We caused quite a stir amongst the passing boats. The pelting rain eventually drove us to the lower enclosed driving station.
Made a tight parallel park under the ‘beady’ eye of the boat owners moored in front of us. Explored the historical town of Auxonne, where Napolian attended military school. Docked at Mantoche. The sky cleared in the late evening and a rainbow appeared across the Saône.
